Julia’s Dazzle Rosé was developed by Long Shadows Vintners founder, Allen Shoup, and named after his granddaughter Julia. This unique Rosé of Pinot Gris is sourced from a special block from The Benches Vineyard at Wallula in Horse Heaven Hills. Winemaker Gilles Nicault was chosen to craft this limited production Rosé for the skills he developed making wine in Provence, the world leader in Rosé.
A special block of Pinot Gris from The Benches Vineyard is left to hang until it develops a bright tint. The grapes are gently pressed and the clarified juice slowly fermented at cool temperatures to retain its intensely vibrant aromatics and flavors.
Robert Parker awarded the 2015 JULIA’S DAZZLE 90 POINTS and said of the wine….“One serious Rosé, that’s shockingly made from Pinot Gris, the light pink colored 2015 Julia’s Dazzle offers classic notes of strawberries, spice and hints of cherry blossom in a fresh, vibrant, yet still textured style. It’s seriously good, and well worth checking out.”
