2016 D2, the 25th vintage of this remarkable cuvee, leaps from the glass with an impressive and inviting abundance of fruit aromas – pomegranate, fresh blueberry and currant. Restrained oak influence enrobes the fruit, adding cocoa nibs and cherry cordial. Dense and vibrant on the palate, with a pure fruit core, the wine offers elegant tannin and remarkable integration, with incredibly balanced barrel influence and cabernet presence to suppose an extended finish.
The 2017 Chaleur Blanc introduces itself with earthy aromas of brioche and sous bois, complimented by bright apricot and peach, all with a hint of exotic tropical fruit. This golden sunlight-colored wine realizes amazing tension between bright acidity and palate weight, offering a seamless backdrop for diverse flavors of fresh straw, guava, coconut flakes and lemon zest.
The fruit aromas of the 2016 Four Flags are fresh and focused, with blueberry, red currant and pomegranate mingling with barrel notes of cocoa nibs and wood smoke. Sourced solely from Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine beautifully showcases the typicity of the AVA, with inviting notes of cedar, lavender and bay leaf.
