2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

This 2016 exhibits a wonderful combination of plums, violets, cassis, and “Pauillac graphite” aromas. This wine is concentrated and powerful with delicious flavors of currents, cherries, and assorted spices. The dynamic structure of this Red Mountain Estate Cabernet showcases ripe tannins, mouthwatering acidity and light touches of toasty oaks notes. One of my best and most dynamic UV Cabs yet, this wine could live forever.

“The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is even better and is a smoking effort. Crème de cassis, graphite, liquid violets, and exotic spice notes all flow to a full-bodied, concentrated, fresh, focused style. With building tannin yet beautiful length, it’s going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for two decades…” – Jeb Dunnuck

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2015 is another great example of Red Mountain pedigree with an uncommon combination of ripeness and structure. There are aromas of violets, black cherries, and other dark fruits along with Paullac Graphite, minty herbs, and cassis. With its savory ripe tannins, it is powerful yet civil and has an extended hedonistic finish.

“Chris Upchurch continues to show the potential of this vineyard on Red Mountain. Loads of black cherries, violets, hints of leafy herbs and graphite all shine in Chris’s 2015, which is made in a fresh and elegant style, yet with ample depth and richness. It has good freshness, no hard edges and a clean, elegant personality that is just a joy to drink” – Jeb Dunnuck
