The 2015 Fiend is perhaps our most concentrated vintage yet. Driven with sweet ripe plum, black mission figs with toasty oak notes of mocha, spice and vanilla. The intrigue continues with a full flavor profile of vine ripened fruit, Mexican chocolate and dusty soil; all supported with texture and framework from sturdy but integrated tannins.
Known for its distinctive black purple hue, this Columbia Valley Malbec hits the ground running with savory notes of cured meats, muddled blackberries and baking spice. The middle palate softens with a lingering acidity that provides a rounded mouthfeel and long finish. Sourced primarily from Weinbau Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope, this wine has the structure to carry its weight throughout while softening gracefully with age. Aged 18 months in 70% neutral, 30% new oak barrels.
Sourced from a single vineyard, the grapes for this wine were bunch selected and hand – harvested. The wine displays aroma of ripe plum and violets along with subtle hints of vanilla. Of great structure, this wine stands out for its meatiness and intense rich flavor, while a soft, silky finish balances the overall experience. Drink with grilled meat or salmon, or alone in your room with the door locked…you are the boss!
